This technique can be used to ban forum spam, certain IP ranges, DDoS attacks, and many other reasons the blogger or webmaster may come across. The most common reason for banning IP addresses is due to Forum Spam, or after checking website access LOG, tracking down bad bots.
The Guide
Step 1
Locate your cPanel IP blocker, which will be in the security section, shown below;

Then input the IP you would like to block which will be blacklisted in your server, resulting in the 403 error message "403 Forbidden error". As shown below;
Note: You can specify denied IP addresses in the following formats:
Single IP Address
192.168.0.1
2001:db8::1
Range
192.168.0.1-192.168.0.40
2001:db8::1-2001:db8::3
Implied Range
192.168.0.1-40
CIDR Format
192.168.0.1/32
2001:db8::/32
Implies 192.*.*.*

Step 3 - The Results
You will then be able to view your "Currently-Blocked IP Addresses" simply delete them or add any extra IP Addresses if needed. You have now successfully blocked and IP address using the cPanel IP Blocker feature.
