Hey guys, I have been optimizing one of my websites for last 3 weeks, and noticed that there are many free and pro caching plugins to choose from.
This all depends on your optimization skills, as using max website or blog caching and optimization will usually break your WordPress website.
From my personal experience, these are the main choices when it comes to caching and WordPress speed optimization plugins shown below;
Litespeed Cache, used by many advanced blogs and best choice if you understand how to deffer and exclude JavaScript and CSS files manually, the best part is that some web hosting providers allow lite speed to cache outside the website folder and within the server speeding up the first byte on screen and improving page speed. Most advanced features inside this plugin are free and well-developed.
This is the only caching plugin which will provide information on your server caching capability, and allow you to select the best option for page cache, object cache, mem-cache and loads more.
Very easy to use, comes with an auto-wizard upon installation which will enable and optimize your website automatically with the best settings which match your server. Does require some back-end tweaking to make this plugin work well, only downside is that most advanced features which speed up google vitals and page speed are pro version, shame that these are not free, otherwise this plugin would have been one of the best ones out there!
This is the simplest cache plugin to install and run on any WordPress website, blog or forum.
In my opinion this is truly one of the fastest cache plugins out there, but it lacks in extra CSS and JS optimization features, lazy loading advanced features and advanced page optimization features. The free version of this cache plugin provides good optimization features, the pro version has extended features which will speed up the website further.
If you are a beginner blogger, this would be the best option for anyone! I usually install this one as it offers quick and fast optimization and good overall performance, then later replace this cache plugin with LiteSpeed cache. As LiteSpeed cache require more time to optimize the webpages and everything individually.
In my personal opinion and experience, each blog or forum will require different style of optimizations, I would highly recommend using a combination of LiteSpeed Cache and Cloudflare for caching and optimizing page speed on any website.
If you are looking for quick cache that works, WP Fastest Cache works great but requires pro version for this to provide full optimization and page score benefits.
I hope my experience of using these WordPress caching plugins will provide the correct feedback you guys are looking for.
