Hey guys, I wanted to share my core web vital results with using WP Fastest Cache Results, when it comes to google page speed Core Web Vitals.
Now, I have decided to run an experiment to show you the results of one of my websites which has no cache enabled and what the Google Core Web Vitals results are before I add the WP Fastest Cache.
I will not be using WP Fastest Cache pro version, just the standard free version which is available for a free download on WordPress plugin library.
These results should show the reader of this topic and all users a clear picture of what to expect, when using WP Fastest cache. The website where I am conducting these test has no ads on it, and also has Cloudflare page optimizations and cache enabled, since these are critical to use with any external WordPress cache plugin in combination, for the best results.
The results are quite surprising, check them out below;
Results without any Cache Plugins
Google Core Web Vitals results for mobile (without any cache plugins)
Google Core Web Vitals results for Desktop (without any cache plugins)
Pingdom Website Speed Results with WP Fastest cache plugin disabled.
I am quite surprised on how well the website has ranked, it's fairly a new project which I have started, and I was not expecting such great results without any cache plugins, then again I am running the website through Cloudflare, so maybe my free Cloudflare account on this domain is having some positive effects?
Anyway, I will leave the same Cloudflare basic optimization setting enabled and try this test with the WP Fastest Cache plugin.
Using Cloudflare cache and optimization with WordPress cache plugins is highly used combo by most advanced and big websites globally.
Let's see what results I am going to get below;
Results with WP Fastest Cache Plugin enabled.
Google Core Web Vitals results for mobile (with WP Fastest cache plugin) with d
Google Core Web Vitals results for Desktop (with WP Fastest cache plugin)
Pingdom Website Speed Results with WP Fastest cache plugin enabled.
After conducting 3/4 test I have noticed that the website was loading between 600ms, and 2000ms. Getting a different random reading at different times. Slightly faster loading speed with WP Fastest cache plugin.
My outcome of using WP Fastest Cache
I am quite happy that I conducted this experiment, as it has allowed me to understand that WP Fastest Cache would not be an ideal plugin to use on my forum website when it comes to mobile cache.
The speed loading time has slightly improved, which is a great ranking factor and also provides great user experience.
Maybe the pro version has better features? Anyway, I don't think I will be using WP Fastest cache, only because its main improvement is the CLS within mobile devices.
In my opinion, the only good thing about this cache plugin is the fact that it fixes the response time when the end user clicks between the pages, improving user experience and improving the CLS shifts on mobile. There are also few visible improvements on desktop devices but negative effects on mobile devices, which is quite mind-boggling.
Maybe the pro version is a lot better?
My Question
I wanted to ask, has anyone else had the same negative effects using WP Fastest Cache on mobile devices? Or is it the pro version that really optimizes the mobile cache?
Quite mind-boggling that website works better with cache disabled on mobile devices, I might enable different cache system just dedicated to mobile devices to improve the web score vitals.
Would anyone else have any other ideas? Let me know in the reply below please, thank you.
My main surprise outcome from these cache results?
I am very confused with how can such a great reviewed and highly used WP-cache plugin can have such minimal effects when it comes to mobile phones cache.
There's this huge hype online on WP Fastest cache, but maybe the reviews are all based on pro version, because this free version of cache results just don't do it for me.
This is my personal opinion, I would not run this cache plugin on a well established blog or forum website with high traffic, only due to the results I have got.
Will I be using WP Fastest Cache?
I am using WP Fastest cache on one of my new projects which is a WordPress CMS based forum style project (these results shown on this page are from this new project I am working on), since It's easy to set up. Saying that, I might move this website to LiteSpeed cache (more advanced) soon as it grows some momentum.
You can read more info on why I might move this website to LiteSpeed cache.
If anyone is looking for more advanced features when it comes to cache, I highly recommend LiteSpeed Cache. Then again, this cache plugin is super easy to set up and use.
